Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do any in-person sessions?

I am only seeing patients through telepsychology (video and phone counselling).

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session typically involves an intake assessment, an orientation to therapy, completion and discussion of informed consent, and an opportunity answer any questions you may have. In the first session, we will set goals together that will guide us in your treatment.

How long is a typical session?

Our face-to-face time is a 50-minute session. The remaining 10 minutes is dedicated to charting and documenting important information, such as outcomes of the session and planning for our next session together.

What are your fees?

My fees depend upon where you reside. Fees are set in accordance to the Psychologists Association of Alberta (PAA) and the British Columbia Psychologists Association (BCPA) fee schedule, and range from $200.00-$225.00 per 50-minute therapy hour.

Which payment methods do you accept?

I accept mastercard/visa and eTransfer. Payment is to be made at the end of session, and receipts will be issued that can be submitted to insurers.

Do you direct bill?

For Alberta clients, I direct bill Medavie/Blue Cross, ASEBP, Alberta Blue Cross, and Greenshield.
