Over the past decade, I have been involved in ongoing education, training and experience in the mental health field. Trained primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, my style is compassionate-focused, collaborative and focused beyond symptoms to treat the entire individual, rather than a diagnosis. I am passionate about helping clients grow into better versions of themselves, a process that I find deeply rewarding and humbly inspiring.
I strongly believe in the connection between the mind, the body, and the environment from which one lives and work. I believe that therapy is both evidence-based and holistic, as I integrate the importance of culture, community, and relationships that combine to inform treatment outcome.
I am currently completing my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D., Cand.,) from California Southern University, and I currently hold a Master of Counselling (M.C.) from the City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Grant MacEwan University.
As a continual learner, I attend between 2-4 workshops, consultations, conferences or educational training seminars per month to focus on new research, skills, ethical, and integration of new techniques into treatment.
I am a psychologist for one simple reason:
I am passionate about helping people heal, and I am honored to watch them grow into the best version of themselves.
