Hi! I’m Maria.

I am a Registered Psychologist and owner of Mission Hill Psychology.

My passion is helping people grow into the best version of themselves, and assisting them in realizing their potential. When we can break through the conditions we set within our own mind, beautiful things can happen.

I have committed the past decade to developing and advancing my clinical knowledge and skills as a psychologist. I believe that therapy is a transformative process from which meaningful, long-lasting change can happen. I use both an evidence-based and a “bio-psycho-social” approach in therapy, integrating the importance of our culture, community, and relationships that combine to inform our psychological health and treatment outcomes.

I am currently completing my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from California Southern University. I currently hold a Master of Counselling (M.C.) from the City University of Seattle, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Grant MacEwan University.

Fun Facts About Me:

Besides psychology, my love is travel! I take great joy in discovering small, remote countries with just a backpack. I am half Hungarian, and identify with the beautiful culture and people. I am in Budapest frequently, and it is truly my second home!

I am a psychologist for one simple reason:

I am driven by a deep sense of purpose and meaning in helping people heal, grow, and thrive in their personal and professional lives. It is a great honour to support and guide my clients on their journey towards self-discovery and transformation, and to witness their progress and growth. I believe that everyone has the potential to overcome the challenges they may face in life, and in turn, helping them realize their true potential.

Through my work, I strive to facilitate real, lasting changes in my clients’ lives, and to contribute to a more compassionate and connected world.
