I am honoured to contribute my expertise in burnout prevention and recovery through continuing education initiatives. Most recently, I delivered a two-day webinar for the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA), offering continuing education credit to more than 20,000 healthcare professionals.
In this continuing education webinar, I discuss how burnout specifically impacts nursing professionals and share how context matters within the constraints of the healthcare system. I share the causes and impact of burnout syndrome, and specific strategies for recovery and how to support colleagues who may be experiencing the syndrome.
A huge thank you to @ABCNews and @BridgeStreetTV for having me on your show to discuss such an important topic—burnout. It was an honor to share insights on the key facts about burnout and effective strategies for recovery.
In this episode, I sit down with my friend, Kevin McLemore and Son, and we discuss the significant health risks of burnout syndrome.
Our discussion covers the three core symptoms of burnout, why some individuals are more prone to it than others, the role of corporate culture in employee well-being, the impact of burnout on personal relationships and mental health, steps for prevention and recovery, and how employers can foster healthier work environments.
Burnout is real—but you don’t have to stay stuck in it.
I sit down with my colleague, Kyle Poon, R. Psych on his channel and we have an in-depth discussion on the science behind burnout in this 1.5 hour + episode!
I’m breaking down everything you need to know about burnout: what it is, the 3 key symptoms, and the biggest factors that make it worse. More importantly, I’m sharing real, evidence-based strategies that actually work—including sleep, exercise, boundaries, and mindset shifts that make a difference.
